"Rebel Rebel"
Once David Bowie captivated his audience and left them wanting more, he decided it was time for him to move on from the Glam Rock era. His 'goodbye' per say was the release of the song "Rebel Rebel". "Rebel Rebel" was written by David Bowie and released in 1974 on Bowie's Diamond Dogs album (Lenig, 60). The song is said to have been Bowie's last big hit and also his most covered track. Most recently, David Bowie will be releasing a single CD in early March with the original mix of "Rebel Rebel" which was never released on CD and also a remix of the song that was released in 1974 (Greene).
